Homes for America, Inc. as a 501(c)(3) non-profit housing corporation can accept many types of tax deductible donations. Homes for America is looking for individuals, organizations, or businesses, who are interested in becoming involved in their community by supporting affordable housing residents. Your gift will enable Homes for America to make a greater impact on the lives of the low and moderate income households we serve and their surrounding communities. The following is a "Wish List" of items welcomed:

  • Financial contributions to be used to support the Resident Services fund
  • Van or bus to provide critically needed transportation for our senior communities
  • Big screen televisions and VCRs to promote socialization through movie nights and exercise programs
  • Computers, printers and other equipment, to provide our seniors and families with access to technology so they can benefit from educational classes and internet access
  • Pianos and musical instruments
  • Books
  • Puzzles
  • Craft supplies
  • Refrigerators, washers, and dryers, for our first time homebuyers
  • Tools and lawn maintenance items for our first time homebuyers

Homes for America also welcomes volunteers to assist with activities which can include:

  • Teaching a computer class in one of our Access Centers
  • Providing job skills training of our communities to residents
  • Sponsoring a youth activity
  • Supervise after school hours programs for children at one of our community centers
  • Provide a variety of volunteer services to our senior communities
